Jonathan Bailey has a sophisticated new role. The British actor is Giorgio Armani’s new Global Fragrance Ambassador and the face of I Will, the fashion house’s first major new masculine fragrance launch in more than two decades.

Elegant, confident, and quietly seductive, Bailey feels like a natural match for the Armani universe. His relationship with the house already includes an Emporio Armani eyewear campaign, but I Will places him at the center of a defining new chapter for Armani Beauty.

It’s Not About Luck, It’s About Will
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Todd Field, the cinematic campaign is built around one commanding statement:
“It’s not about luck, it’s about will.”

The story follows Bailey’s character as he confronts uncertainty, takes a leap of faith, and ultimately arrives in Hollywood. That journey mirrors part of the actor’s own experience: before filming the campaign, Bailey had spent only two days working in the United States.
The production took him inside Universal Studios, adding a wonderfully surreal quality to the experience.

“It’s like Charlie Bucket licking the wall in Willy Wonka’s factory,” Bailey said of filming there. “It felt very meta.”
For Bailey, the campaign’s message reaches beyond conventional ideas of achievement. It is about trusting the process, accepting the possibility of failure, and finding confidence through perseverance.

“I think at a time where we’re looking for truth in this world and a way to have hope and faith, I Will is about commitment to process and understanding the evolution,” he explained. “And I think that’s what this scent encapsulates in such a beautiful way.”
What Does Giorgio Armani I Will Smell Like?
Created by master perfumers Alberto Morillas and Nathalie Lorson, I Will is a woody vanilla Eau de Parfum inspired by determination, resilience, and the strength to keep moving forward.

The composition opens with the freshness of bergamot and the aromatic spice of cardamom. Lavender and violet leaf form its elegant heart, while bourbon vanilla introduces an addictive warmth. A woody leather accord gives the base depth, sensuality, and unmistakably masculine character.

- Top notes: Bergamot and cardamom
- Heart notes: Lavender and violet leaf
- Base notes: Bourbon vanilla and woody leather accord
- Fragrance family: Woody vanilla
- Concentration: Eau de Parfum
The contrast is especially intriguing. Vanilla—often associated with softness and sweetness—is recast against smoky woods and leather. The result promises to be warm without becoming delicate, and masculine without relying on predictable ideas of intensity.
According to early launch details, developing I Will took four years and approximately 2,800 trials. That extraordinary process reflects the fragrance’s central philosophy: meaningful results come from dedication rather than luck.

Jonathan Bailey Enters His Armani Era
From Bridgerton and Fellow Travelers to Wicked and Jurassic World Rebirth, Jonathan Bailey has established himself as one of the most magnetic actors of his generation. His appeal comes from an unusual combination of classical elegance, emotional openness, and contemporary masculinity.

Those qualities make him an inspired ambassador for I Will. He does not simply represent polished success; he embodies the vulnerability, discipline, and determination required to reach it.

With Todd Field behind the camera and Bailey stepping into the spotlight, the I Will campaign presents fragrance as something more intimate than a finishing touch. It becomes a declaration of intent.

Jonathan Bailey’s Giorgio Armani era has officially begun—and it smells like vanilla, leather, ambition, and possibility.
