Versace x Fendi Men’s Pre-Fall 2022 Collection

Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi switch places with Donatella Versace, bringing to life the Versace by Fendi collection. Inspired by the brand’s archives, the collection explores the idea of duality through exquisite craftsmanship and unexpected hidden details.

Freedom, fun and friendship. The show saw creative directors Kim Jones and Donatella swapping places to present their exceptional vision on Versace and Fendi. #Fendace is not a collaboration: it’s a unique moment in fashion, a disruptive and sincere celebration of Italian fashion with a capital F – and a capital V.

The first part of the collection was truly wonderful. I’m actually shocked that it had been designed by Jones. I wouldn’t want him to be Versace’s designer, but as a one-off it was really needed this season. Very unapologetic and loud, but at the same time there was real energy and passion. It was incredibly luxurious, too.

This is incredibly creative and I’m surprised I actually like some of it! Very bold and daring of both of them to do this, you could tell they had fun in each other’s worlds.

Iconic, unexpected, unique. Discover the exclusive live runway event where Kim Jones and Donatella Versace switch roles, revealing in two iconic collections that celebrate their friendship and the cultural impact of Versace and Fendi.

The Swap presented Kim Jones’s vision for Versace and Donatella Versace’s interpretation of Fendi.

“It’s a first in the history of fashion: two designers having a true creative dialogue that stems from respect and friendship.”

Fendi by Versace

The looks express youthful rebellion, seamlessly combining signature punk-rock accents – such as the iconic Safety Pins – with the Fendi FF monogram.
