For Spring/Summer 2027, Miuccia Prada brings the Miu Miu wardrobe back to the everyday—but, naturally, nothing is quite as ordinary as it first appears.
Presented at the Palais d’Iéna in Paris, the collection proposes what the house describes as a “fundamental recontextualization,” applying ideas of beauty, refinement and elegance to familiar pieces. Within the menswear looks, that approach translates into clothes that feel instantly recognizable, yet deliberately unsettled.

Menswear, Reconsidered
The men’s wardrobe is built around straightforward staples: raglan T-shirts, V-neck knits, track jackets, tailored trousers, denim and blazers. Rather than transforming them beyond recognition, Miuccia Prada focuses on styling, proportion and unexpected combinations.

Sportswear runs strongly through the looks. Fitted baseball-style tops appear with glossy brown trousers, while technical long-sleeve shirts are tucked into traditional checked pants. Track jackets—with flashes of orange, navy and brown—are treated almost like refined outerwear rather than athletic gear.
Tailoring receives the same casual disruption. A dark blazer is layered over a zipped sports top and orange T-shirt, then paired with fluid navy trousers and exposed drawstrings. The clash between office dressing and athletic clothing feels intentional but remarkably wearable.

The Detail Is at the Waist
One of the collection’s most distinctive menswear ideas happens around the waist. Drawstrings, woven belts, striped waistbands and long cords are deliberately left exposed, sometimes layered together.

It gives otherwise conventional trousers an improvised quality—as though the wearer has assembled the outfit instinctively rather than carefully styled it.
Denim is equally relaxed. Loose blue jeans arrive with an electric-blue V-neck layered over a collared shirt, oversized eyewear and multiple cords tied at the waist. Elsewhere, fine V-neck sweaters and straight trousers evoke familiar collegiate dressing, but the unconventional styling prevents the looks from becoming nostalgic.

Miu Miu Makes Normal Interesting
What works about these menswear appearances is their restraint. There is no attempt to create a separate, exaggerated idea of “men’s fashion.” Instead, Miu Miu takes clothing men already understand—T-shirts, sweaters, jeans, trousers, sneakers and jackets—and changes the context around them.

That may ultimately be the most Miuccia Prada idea of all: the ordinary becomes desirable precisely because somebody has looked at it differently.
Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2027 turns the quotidian wardrobe into something considered, slightly awkward and unexpectedly elegant.
