Walter Van Beirendonck Menswear Fall/Winter 2025 Paris

Walter Van Beirendonck unveiled his Fall/Winter 2025 menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week, delivering a theatrical blend of surreal whimsy and sharp social commentary.  The collection featured oversized beige bowler hats, ‘70s-inspired check suits with boho collars, and deconstructed suits reminiscent of Edward Scissorhands, complete with elongated fake fingers. Playful skull-and-bone motifs adorned caps, while angular caterpillar shapes appeared under sneaker-boots. Headscarves were transformed into sculptural 3D objects, adding tactile depth, and an alien theme was evident in spidery face masks and rounded, otherworldly fingers. A mourning black veil resembling a beekeeper’s hat added an element of fragility amid the absurdity. Van Beirendonck’s daring approach continues to push boundaries and question norms, reaffirming his unique position in fashion.
