Massimiliano Giornetti mixed the city street and the tropical outdoors for a collection that skewed particularly young for an accessories-led brand that’s been in business for nearly 90 years.

From multicolor graphic prints and classic sartorial patterns to cartoonish motifs and crystal embroideries, John Richmond filled his collection with so many elements the collection was more confusing than creative. Sportswear pieces such as hooded zippered sweatshirts and roomy short pants were juxtaposed with tailored three-piece suits and embossed leather jackets paired with distressed denim. The most convincing results came when Richmond kept things simple: For instance, when he matched crisp, printed shirts with plain slim cotton trousers.

Alessandro Dell’Acqua steered last season’s chic nerd into a more grungy direction for fall, referencing Nineties silhouettes with a rather raw touch.

You could just about see the gold-leafed tower of Fondazione Prada through the tangle of wrecked cars—including two Rolls-Royces—that littered the Porta Romana rail yard that was Philipp Plein's show space this season. His shoe business alone has gone from nothing to 60 million euros per annum in four years. But this season's big-budget (2 million euros) production was the idea, he said, of his girlfriend.
